THE YPSIPANTY. In the olden days, if you wanted an Ypsipanty, you had to make it yourself. You had to grow, harvest and clean the cotton, travel to remote areas in search of flowers from which to create dyes, and engage a seamstress. And, I might add, you had to do all of this pantyless. The history of the Ypsipanty: At one time, Ypsilanti, the town where Crimewave USA Enterprises is headquartered, was famous for, of all things, its underwear. If you had had been alive during the late 1800's, you probably knew the slogan, "Never Rip, Never Tear, Ypsilanti Underwear," by heart. The racy ads, featuring a woman in a union suit boldly flashing both neck and ankle, ran all the time on television... Anyway, we were thinking of products that we could make that drew on this fine tradition of quality undergarment manufacturing, and that's what led us to invent the Ypsipanty... Actually, we don't really "make" them. We just get them from American Apparel and have them screenprinted. That's a good thing though. You wouldn't want to wear panties made by the residents of Ypsilanti. We're good people, but you wouldn't want us making your panties. That would be creepy...
